Melodie Mancia's Performance Portfolio

Artist Bio

Melodie Mancia (A.K.A. Melodie Isaac), is a singer and musician currently based in Boston, MA, but originally from Skokie, IL. Growing up, she has always been around music. Whether it was listening to all of her mom’s favorite music and her singing, trying out different musical hobbies, or spending time with her artistically driven family. Today, she strives to sing a variety of music genres that interest her. This includes rock, pop, R&B, jazz, Latin, and more. She aspires to make her own music in addition to performing in challenging and new environments. She wants to learn how to be comfortable and connect with any audience despite the nerve-racking aspect of it all. She also loves musical theater which she desires to explore more.

Her training started at the beginning of her high school career. She joined the choir and took vocal lessons with her vocal coach JulieAnn Zavala, former member of the Chicago Symphony Chorus and extensive operatic performer Internationally and in the U.S. In her sophomore year, Melodie decided to join Vocal Jazz as well. She was faced with new challenges as she was still learning how to sight-read, and being in Vocal Jazz involved working with more advanced material. However, her hardship turned into an achievement by working hard to improve her skills, when she received the Most Improved Jazz Musician Award at the end-of-year Vocal Jazz ceremony. Before junior year, she auditioned to attend The Chicago High School for the Arts (ChiArts) and got accepted. At ChiArts, her training became more complex and focused, she had vocal conservatory classes from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. She continued with jazz and contemporary music by joining the jazz ensemble class. She is still enjoying those fields today.

She was accepted at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. and attended Berklee until the year of 2023.

She is now an independent singer and has recorded a few singles with other Berklee students and friends. You can listen to these new releases at her Instagram page here
